Petrophysics Team Lead at SLB
WOMEN DRIVING INNOVATION AND LEADERSHIP IN THE ENERGY SECTOR Makpal Bektybayeva is a Petrophysics Team Lead at SLB, with over 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. She graduated from Kazakh National Technical University in 2009 and began her career the same year as a Wireline Field Engineer, working across key locations in Kazakhstan, including Aksai, Alibekmola, and Aktau. In 2018, she transitioned to a technical role in Astana, specializing in technical support for Techlog software and delivering consulting services as part of SLB’s digital solutions team. In her current role as Petrophysics Team Lead, Makpal leads a team of petrophysicists, driving technical excellence, supporting the delivery of petrophysical solutions, and ensuring high-quality project execution. She combines her extensive technical expertise and industry experience to mentor team members, optimize resource utilization, and help customers achieve their subsurface evaluation objectives.
