DEVELOPING TALENT, LEADERSHIP AND DIVERSITY FOR THE FUTURE OF THE ENERGY INDUSTRY: EMPOWERING THE NEXT GENERATION OF ENERGY PROFESSIONALS Tavus Saryeva graduated with honours from the Turkmen State Polytechnic Institute in 2007 with a degree in Environmental Engineering and Technology. Following her graduation, she began her professional career at the Institute of Oil and Gas of the State Concern Turkmengas, where she worked as an Environmental Engineer. In 2016, she joined the Research Institute of Natural Gas of the State Concern Turkmengas, working in the Environmental Protection Department. Throughout her career, she has held positions including Environmental Engineer, Lead Engineer, Chief Specialist and Senior Researcher. She has extensive expertise in environmental management within Turkmenistan’s oil and gas sector and has conducted numerous research projects, with findings presented at international and regional scientific and practical conferences. The results of her research are also used in the academic training of students specialising in Environmental Studies. In addition, she has participated in scientific research competitions and received several awards. In 2011–2012, she contributed to an Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan project entitled “Study of Environmental Issues Related to the Construction of Pipelines along the Caspian Sea Floor.”
