Ya. Kakayev International Oil and Gas University and Petronas strengthen cooperation in the field of oil and gas education
Ameeting with representatives of the Malaysian company Petronas, its subsidiary Petronas Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd and the Petronas University of Technology was held at Yagshygeldi Kakayev International of Oil and Gas University.
During the meeting, issues, related to strengthening and expanding scientific and educational cooperation within the framework of the existing Memorandum of Understanding, were discussed.
As noted, approximately 90 Turkmen students had completed a summer internship in Malaysia, 14 members of the teaching staff had received advanced training at the Malaysian university of technology, and approximately 200 students had successfully completed training in advanced oil and gas technologies through a specialized digital system.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to expand areas of joint activities. Specifically, joint research projects and the publication of articles in international scientific journals, the continuation of traditional and digital educational courses, offered by professors of Petronas University of Technology in areas such as oil and gas, geology, chemical engineering and digital systems, and the development of practical training programmes and internships for students and young professionals are planned.
