The oil and gas industry is among the promising areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Bangladesh
Promising areas of the bilateral cooperation were identified at the first political consultations between the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, according to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the talks held in Ashgabat, opportunities for expanding the trade and economic partnerships between the two countries were discussed in detail. It was noted that establishing a partnership between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry plays an important role in this context.
The parties identified the oil and gas industry, transport connectivity, agriculture, the textile industry and other promising areas of cooperation.
The parties also noted the expediency of organizing high-level visits to expand the interstate ties and the importance of maintaining regular contacts between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
