Monument to Neutrality The 95-meter structure, like a giant lighthouse, towering over white marble Ashgabat, is the tallest monument in Turkmenistan. The total height of the Monument of Neutrality is 95 meters, including a 12-meter sculpture of the first President of Turkmenistan, Saparmurat Niyazov, installed at the very top.

Nisa is the capital of the once powerful Parthian kingdom; its ruins stretch 18 km west of Ashgabat. The ruined settlement is divided into two parts - the fortresses of Old Nisa and New Nisa. In 2007, this monument was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
