On the occasion of Science Day, a scientific-practical conference titled "Scientific Foundations of Oil and Gas Industry Development" was organized at the Scientific Research Institute of Natural Gas (SRING) of the "Turkmengaz" State Concern. The event, arranged by the primary trade union organization of the institute, was attended by experienced researchers and young specialists of the industry. During the conference, pressing issues of the energy sector were discussed, specifically the results of ongoing research and new proposals in the fields of gas, oil, and geology. This was reported by the "Nebit-gaz" newspaper.
In their speeches, the participants demonstrated the results of several important scientific projects, including the seismic study of the "Galkynysh" field structure and the analysis of field reserves using the material balance method within the "Oilfield manager" (OFM) software. Discussions also covered innovative measures such as utilizing carbon dioxide contained in natural gas for beneficial purposes, examining the physical and mechanical properties of metals through ultrasonic and magnetic methods, and developing methods for the efficient development of gas wells in their late stages of operation.
Following a lively Q&A session between the experienced scientists and the youth, the conference continued its work in separate breakout sessions. At the end of the event, the organizers solemnly presented Certificates of Honor and souvenir gifts to the institute's employees who distinguished themselves through their exemplary and tireless labor.
